Densters is a startup from London that designs and produces toys, which help kids build dens, forts and tents. The main idea behind the packaging design was to make it 100% plastic-free, which is almost unheard of in the modern toy industry. Instead of using the classic vac-formed plastic insert, we used paper-straw to hold the items in place. The box is a natural kraft colour with a single-colour print, which overlaps with the narrow full-colour sleeve. This allowed the company to produce one design of the box, whilst making multiple versions of the sleeves in different languages for different markets, saving on costs and minimising waste.
